A family-run Afghan kitchen in Northern Virginia, cooking the food we grew up on.
Kabob Express is a family-run Afghan restaurant with two shops in Northern Virginia — one in Alexandria and one in Centreville. We cook the food we grew up eating: chicken and beef kabobs marinated overnight and grilled to order, long-grain rice with carrots, raisins and warm spices, fresh naan baked in the tandoor, and house-made sauces and sides. Plates are built to be shared, so families, students and office teams all get a full meal for a fair price.
Most of our guests are people who live and work within a few miles of one of our shops. They stop in for a quick lunch, pick up dinner on the way home, or call us to feed a whole office or a family celebration through our catering menu. This website exists so they can see the full menu with current prices, order ahead for pickup in about the time it takes to drive over, and track their order while we cook it — no phone call needed.
We're open seven days a week at both locations, and we're happy to walk you through the menu if you're trying Afghan food for the first time. Tell us how spicy you like it and we'll take it from there.
